Failed Your NCT on Headlights? We'll Fix It.

Headlight alignment is one of the most common NCT failures. If your headlights point too high, too low, or off to one side, you’ll fail – even if your bulbs are working perfectly.

Getting Your Headlights Pointing Where They Should

What is Headlight Alignment?

Headlight alignment (also called headlight aiming) is the adjustment of your car's headlights so they illuminate the road correctly – without blinding oncoming drivers or missing the road ahead.

Why Headlight Alignment is Essential Before Your NCT

The NCT tests headlight alignment on every car. If your headlights are out of alignment – even slightly – you will fail.

The NCT tester measures:

  • Vertical aim (too high or too low)
  • Horizontal aim (pointing left or right)

We adjust your headlights to manufacturer specifications. You get a free retest. Don’t let headlights fail you twice.

NCT Retest is FREE if done within 21 days.

Get your headlights adjusted immediately after a failure and go back for your free retest.

Why Do Headlights Go Out of Alignment?

CauseWhy It Happens
Hitting a pothole or kerbSudden impact can knock headlights off alignment.
Suspension or front-end workChanging suspension components affects headlight aim.
Bulb replacementRemoving and refitting a headlight unit can change alignment.
Aftermarket partsCheap replacement headlights may not be aligned from the factory.
Age and vibrationOver time, headlights can vibrate out of alignment.

Even if nothing obvious has happened, it’s worth checking before NCT.

Fast, Accurate Adjustment

Step 1: Check Current Alignment

We park your car on level ground and use alignment equipment to measure the current beam pattern.

Step 2: Adjust

Using the adjustment screws on your headlight unit, we raise, lower, or move the beam left/right to manufacturer specifications.

Step 3: Re-check

We verify the new alignment meets NCT standards.

Step 4: NCT Ready

Your headlights are now correctly aligned. Go back for your free retest.
Most headlight alignments take 15-20 minutes. No appointment needed.

Headlights Look Yellow or Cloudy?

Over time, UV exposure causes plastic headlight lenses to become yellow, hazy, or cloudy. This reduces light output – even if your bulbs are fine.

We can restore your headlight lenses, removing the oxidation and making them clear again.

Ask us if your headlights need restoration or alignment.
